Objectives:
To learn how to discuss movies; to distinguish genres and express personal preferences in and movie art; learn the key vocabulary; learn typical ways of describing one’s preferences in cinematograph.
Warm-up: (Idioms of the Day, Commonly Confused Words of the Day, Phrasal Verbs of the Day) (5 min)
Review of the previous lesson (Idioms of the Day, Commonly Confused Words of the Day, Phrasal Verbs of the Day, Sport and Physical Culture as a kind of recreational activity) (3 min)
Overview of today’s lesson theme (music and movies as a kind of recreational activity – how are they different from sport and physical culture?) (5 min)
Class Discussion (5 mins):
1. Do you like movies? Where do you usually see movies?
2. How often do you watch movies? At home? In theatres?
3. Can you compare movie houses in your homeland with theatres in the United States?
4. What might annoy you at a movie theatre? Using phones? Babies crying? Other?
5. What is your favorite genre?
